Shiogama Cold Spring
At the foot of Nakahiruzen, there is a natural spring water, "Shiogama Spring," which has been recognized as one of Japan's 100 Best Waters.
The water temperature is cold at around 11 degrees Celsius throughout the year, forming a gourd-shaped pond with an area of about 60 square meters.
The local Shiogama Association manages it, and it is used as domestic water for about 600 households.
While you cannot draw water directly from the spring, you can draw water from the water drawing area next to the lodge at Hiruzen Shiogama Camping Village.
