Yukio Tabuchi Memorial Museum

The museum opened in July 1990 (Heisei 2) to honor Yukio Tabuchi, one of Japan's leading insect ecology researchers and nature photographers.
Through the generosity of his bereaved family and others, the museum houses approximately 73,000 of Tabuchi's works in existence.
The exhibition includes miniature paintings of butterflies and other favorite objects that provide a complete picture of Tabuchi's work.
