Former Railway Walking Trail
This is an abandoned railway line site of the former Japanese National Railways Shinonoi Line in Akashina, which was closed down with the opening of the new Shinonoi Line.
It is now a 6-km trekking course running from JR Shinonoi Line Akashina Station to the entrance of the second Shirasaka Tunnel.
The rails and pillars remain as they were in those days, and visitors can take a stroll while feeling the atmosphere of the Meiji Era.
