Shugendo Path
En no Gyoja, founder of Shugendo, established Senkoji Temple.
His mother also practiced asceticism and is enshrined in the temple.
Women are also welcome to practice at this sacred site.
This path begins at Motosanjoguchi Station, passes Ikomayamaguchi Shrine and the Kiyotaki Stone Buddhas, enters Senkoji Temple, and then continues to Konshoji Temple, Naramoto Shrine, and Kishi Shrine before arriving at Heguri Station.
