A venerable Shingon sect temple that has beautiful red leaves in autumn

Fukuoji Temple is the 4th amulet-issuing temple of the 49 sacred grounds of the Healing Buddha in the Chugoku region. It is a venerable old temple established in 901 (the 1st year of the Engi era).
It has a new hall for ancestor tablets and a new reception hall on the grounds, and Buddhist sermons for a maximum group of 200 persons can be held.
The hall for ancestor tablets is dedicated to the Diamond Realm Nyorai Buddha, and a Womb Realm Mandala is drawn on the ceiling.
You can enjoy beautiful fall colors in November, and Fukuoji Temple's ceiling drawing is a designated cultural asset of Maniwa.
You are also welcome to tour the grounds.
