Affordable Exploration of Tsuchiura's Rich History and Culture

Tsuchiura City Museum is a historical museum located next to the Tsuchiura Castle Ruins (Kijo Park).
Our comprehensive theme, "Lives Nurtured by Kasumigaura," introduces the history and culture of Tsuchiura by changing exhibits seasonally.
In the "Culture of the Daimyo Tsuchiya Family" section, we display swords and tea utensils.
Special exhibitions and planning exhibitions will be held.
Additionally, there is the Tsuchiura Castle East Tower as an annex exhibition facility, where materials related to the castle ruins are displayed.

Closed: Mondays (open on public holidays), the day after public holidays, New Year's holidays, and temporary closures during exhibition changes.
