Soinji Temple

In the precincts of the temple, there are a tomb of Sueshige Hirayama (the historic site of Tokyo), a brave samurai who distinguished himself in the Genpei War, and “Sogyo Zazo (a statue of a sitting priest)” (a cultural property designated by Hino City). As Daifukuji Temple was abolished in the Meiji period, these were transferred to Soinji Temple to continue to hold memorial services for them.

※A monument of the site of the residence of Sueshige Hirayama is located in front of the Hirayama-Joshi-Koen Station.
