Kojima Zentaro Memorial Hall

Zentaro Kojima was an oil painter born in 1892.
He studied in France in his 30s.
After returning to Japan, he brought a new perspective to the Japanese western-style painting society and founded the independent art association (Dokuritsu Bijutsu Kyokai) in 1930.
In 1971, he set up his art studio in Mogusa, Hino City and spent his final years there.
He passed away in 1984.
In 2013, his house, studio, and paintings drawn by him were donated by his bereaved family, and now, they are open to the public as the Kojima Zentaro Memorial Hall of Hiro City.
