SUZU-YA is a soba noodle restaurant that also sells souvenirs, situated in an immediate vicinity of the Jindaiji Temple bus stop.
For more than 50 years since the opening, the restaurant has been popular with many customers, coupled with the crowded approach to Jindaiji Temple.
At outside seats, you can enjoy your meal while looking at the scenery of the approach.


SUZU-YA: Recommended soba menu

Soba noodles at SUZU-YA are made with carefully selected buckwheat flour, and the amount of water for making soba noodles is adjusted according to the season.
The soba noodles are thin, have a refreshing taste, and give the sensation of soba smoothly going down the throat.

○ Tenzaru soba (*) 1400 yen
○ Ebi Tendon set 1300 yen
“Tenzaru soba is a specialty dish of the restaurant that uses a prawn as well as four kinds of vegetable (eggplant, pumpkin, carrot, and green pepper).
Green pepper used as an ingredient is not spicy but sweet and long.
Ebi Tendon set is a popular hearty menu that includes tendon (a bowl of rice topped with a freshly fried big prawn) and soba noodles.

* Tenzaru soba is a dish that combines tempura seafood and vegetables with cold noodles.


The spacious restaurant with nearly 100 seating capacity, including outside seating.


【From SUZU-YA to Customers】

The restaurant offers table seating for 32 customers and tatami seating (zashiki) for 16 on the first floor, and tatami seating for 50 on the second floor, providing sufficient space for even a large group to enjoy meals in a relaxed manner.
There are also about 40 outside seats, where it is possible to enjoy the meal and lovely weather under a clear sky.
The restaurant can be directly accessed from its own parking facing the Jindaiji Temple street, which is appreciated by wheelchair customers.
Customers who order meals can use the parking free of charge.
Outside seats are available for customers with pets, so they can be recommended for those who are on the way back from a dog run.
Delicious sweets, such as anmitsu (traditional Japanese dessert made with agar, fruits, and sweet red bean paste) and zenzai (sweet red-bean soup with pieces of rice cake), can also be enjoyed.
