Mitsuishi Shrine

It is said that the Mitsuishi shrine have been founded when “Inari Gods*” were enshrined in three gigantic stones on the banks of the Genbe River.

Genbe River

The length of the Genbe River is 1.5 km.
The uppermost stream of the Genbe River is from the “Kohama pond” in the “Rakujuen Park” that is designated as a place of national scenic beauty.

Toki-no-Kane Bell (Hour Bell)

A hour bell called “Toki-no-Kane” in the precincts of Mitsuishi Shrine located along the Genbe River is considered to be one of the top eight scenes in Mishima, and it has been popular among local people and travelers since the Edo period.
