Ofusa Kannon Temple

In the spring and fall, rose festivals are held at the temple, including 3,800 varieties of roses (primarily English roses) blooming beautifully.
In the summer, there is a wind chime festival, honoring the traditional Buddhist belief that the refreshing timbre of the wind chimes drive away evil spirits.
More than 2,500 wind chimes originating from all the prefectures in Japan can be heard.
If you proceed further into the temple grounds, you will find the Ofusa Kannon Temple Garden, a Japanese garden that changes with each season.
Enjoy some rose juice or herbal tea while enjoying the garden scenery at the Ofusa tea house in the garden.
