The site features 14 full-scale traditional buildings—including samurai residences, merchant shops, a magistrate’s office, and a guardhouse.

Wander through interiors filled with immersive displays that vividly depict the everyday lives of samurai and townspeople through clothing, tools, and household items.

Try on a suit of samurai armor or join a hands-on workshop to make Matsumae-zuke, a delicately preserved seafood dish from the region.
