Seitaisan Saizen-ji Temple

Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage – Temple No.8

Passing through the temple gate, you enter the front garden of the main hall, where a Komine maple tree—around 600 years old, with a trunk girth of 2.9 meters and a height of 9 meters—stands in the center.
Its fresh green leaves in early summer and brilliant autumn colors are especially beautiful, drawing many visitors.

The temple was founded in 1234.
In the main hall, an Amida Triad is enshrined: Amida Nyorai in the center, flanked by Kannon Bosatsu on the left and Seishi Bosatsu on the right.
The temple’s paper-cut-style *goshuin* (temple stamp) features the 600-year-old Komine maple.

* During the fresh green and autumn foliage seasons, visitors who are not receiving the pilgrimage stamp may be asked to pay an admission fee.

Seitaisan Saizen-ji is Temple No.8 on the Chichibu 34 Kannon Pilgrimage, a roughly 100-km route linking 34 temples along a nature-rich pilgrimage trail.
