Hot spring with Mt. Buko views, dining and camping

Chichibu Yumoto Buko Onsen is a hot spring facility located at the foot of Mt. Buko.
Its “bihada-no-yu” (literally, “beautiful skin bath”) is a slightly alkaline simple sulfur spring (pH 11.1), praised for its smooth, lotion-like feel on the skin.
From the open-air baths you can enjoy magnificent views of Mt. Buko in every season.
Indoors, the facilities include carbonated baths, jet baths and a sauna, offering relaxation and potential benefits such as fatigue recovery and smoother skin.
The on-site restaurant serves dishes made with local ingredients, including regional specialties such as Chichibu’s famous *waraji katsudon* (pork cutlet served over rice).
From January 2025, you can also try the “Mt. Buko Giant Curry,” a hearty curry dish weighing over 6 kg—perfect for sharing with a group.
This is a place where you can not only enjoy the hot springs but also take your time over a satisfying meal and a relaxing break.
Buko Onsen also has overnight accommodation and an adjacent campsite, making it an ideal base for exploring the Chichibu and Nagatoro areas.
Surrounded by lush greenery, it offers the luxury of enjoying both camping and hot springs in the same location, providing a relaxing escape for both body and mind.
