Okada Spring Festival

This lively festival is held every April and features three floats (designated as a cultural asset by the city): the Sun Float, Rain Float, and Wind Float.
The highlight of the festival is the powerful twisting, in which men vigorously change the direction of the floats.
The floats are also a great place to enjoy the dances of the dolls, especially the karakuri puppets on the Sun Float, which show a brilliantly transforming and magnificent dance.
On the day before the festival, a lantern parade and taiko drumming by children are held.
