Applications Open: FY2026 Training Course for Prospective Members of the Katsuragi City Volunteer Tour Guide Association

Are you interested in history and historic sites, or do you enjoy sharing what you know with others? This training course offers an opportunity to learn how to introduce the history and culture of Katsuragi City as a volunteer tour guide.
The Katsuragi City Volunteer Tour Guide Association will hold its FY2026 training course for people interested in becoming volunteer guides.
The program includes classroom sessions on the cultural heritage of Katsuragi City, as well as field training conducted on foot around Taimadera Temple, Yashikiyama, and the Takenouchi Kaido.

Eligibility
- People interested in becoming volunteer tour guides
- Residents of Katsuragi City or the surrounding area who are able to participate in activities as guides
Please note that participants are required to join the Katsuragi City Volunteer Tour Guide Association after completing the course.
Course Format
- Classroom sessions: 2
- Field training sessions: 3
Course Period
A total of five sessions will be held between September 2026 and January 2027.

Katsuragi City History Museum and other locations

About the Field Training
- Session 2 — Taimadera Temple area: approximately 3 km
- Session 3 — Yashikiyama area: approximately 4 km
- Session 4 — Takenouchi Kaido: approximately 4 km
