Jōraku-in Temple ("Omoide no Album" memorial)

Jōraku-in Temple is the 5th temple of Six Amitabha Buddha temples, relocated from Ueno Hirokoji to this place in 1933 after it was burnt down in the Great Kanto Earthquake.
The head priest Jiyu Honda composed "Omoide no Album (An Album of Memories)" as a composer under the pseudonym of Tetsumaro Honda.
In 1996, a monument on which his song is inscribed was built to commemorate the 30th anniversary of his passing.
"Omoide no Album (An Album of Memories)" is used as a melody signaling approaching trains at Tsutsujigaoka Station.
