Yokosuka Coffee Festival

The YOKOSUKA COFFEE FESTIVAL will be held on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Shiyakusho-mae Park in Yokosuka City. Launched in February 2024 under the slogan “Let’s drink coffee in Yokosuka,” the festival marks its third edition in 2026.

Coffee shops mainly from the Kanto region will participate. Admission is free, and visitors can enjoy coffee tasting through paid tasting tickets, as well as purchase individual cups and coffee beans from participating vendors.

Helicopter Sightseeing Tours

Helicopter sightseeing tours will be offered on Saturday, February 7, and Sunday, February 8, 2026, departing from and returning to the heliport at Uraga City Marina Velasis. Operations may be canceled in the event of adverse weather conditions.

Check-in is conducted at the second parking area of Uraga City Marina Velasis. Participants are requested to arrive at least 30 minutes before departure.

10:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Approximately 15 flights per day, depending on the route.

Routes and fees

The Chiyogasaki Battery Ruins and Kannonzaki area course lasts approximately 10 minutes and costs JPY 44,000 per helicopter.
The Jogashima sightseeing course lasts approximately 15 minutes and costs JPY 66,000 per helicopter.
The Enoshima and Kamakura sightseeing course lasts approximately 30 minutes and costs JPY 132,000 per helicopter.

Prices are per helicopter. Each helicopter can carry up to three passengers, and the price is the same regardless of whether one, two, or three people are on board.

Tsukimidai and Taura Plum Grove Walk

The Tsukimidai and Taura Plum Grove Walk will take place on Saturday, February 28, 2026. This one-day walking event starts at Yokosuka-Chuo Station and leads participants through historic tunnels to the Tsukimidai Housing Area, then down Otazaka Slope toward Taura Ume no Sato, known for its plum trees.

The route includes slopes and stairs, offering a physically engaging experience. The Tsukimidai area currently hosts 44 shops, including eateries and variety stores, and also offers scenic views from its elevated location.

At the destination, visitors can enjoy the Taura Plum Grove Festival, featuring one of the city’s largest plum groves and views over Tokyo Bay.

Uwamachi Shopping Street Cultural and Arts Exchange 2026

Uwamachi kouryu 2026

From Sunday, February 1, to Sunday, March 1, 2026, the Uwamachi Shopping Street Cultural and Arts Exchange 2026 will be held throughout the Uwamachi Shopping Street area.

This initiative features exhibits in local shops, including works by students of Toyoshima Elementary School and artists connected to Yokosuka, as well as cultural experiences where visitors can learn directly from local shop owners.
