Dobusabu FES 2026 Stamp Rally

Explore Dobuita Street through local food and shopping
Dobusabu FES 2026 is a stamp rally connecting participating restaurants, stores, and visitor attractions on and around Dobuita Street.
Participating businesses offer submarine-themed sandwiches and hot dogs, as well as certified merchandise featuring the event’s original logo. The food and merchandise were developed through a partnership between the shopping district and a Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force submarine unit based in Yokosuka.
Visitors can collect stamps by ordering eligible menu items or purchasing participating products. Depending on the number of stamps collected, participants can receive prizes or enter prize drawings.
The event offers an opportunity to combine food and shopping on Dobuita Street with sightseeing around central Yokosuka.

Bamboo Lantern Festival on the Miura Peninsula 2026

Handmade bamboo lanterns illuminate temple grounds
Six Buddhist temples in Yokosuka and Miura hold evening lantern events on selected dates in July and August.
Approximately 300 to 500 handmade bamboo lanterns are displayed at each temple. Depending on the venue, the program may also include Tanabata decorations, memorial letter-writing activities, Bon dance performances, workshops, and food stalls.
The July venue in Yokosuka is Fudanji Temple in the Nagai area, where the lanterns will be illuminated on July 4. Fukusenji Temple in Miura City will hold its event on July 26. Dates, times, and activities vary by temple.

2026 Kurihama Perry Festival

Spend a summer day in Kurihama and watch approximately 7,000 fireworks
The Kurihama Perry Festival takes place in the area where Commodore Matthew Perry landed in 1853.
Events are held throughout the day around Perry Park, Kurihama Beach, local shopping streets, and nearby venues. The program includes a commemorative ceremony, daytime and evening markets, a parade, and Bon dancing.
The evening fireworks display is scheduled to feature approximately 7,000 fireworks, including rapid-fire star mines, over the Kurihama waterfront.

Oppama Festival 2026

Music, dance, and street performances fill the Oppama shopping district
The Oppama Ginza shopping street near Keikyu Oppama Station becomes a pedestrian-only festival venue for the day.
The program includes hip-hop, cheerleading, Awa Odori, Oppama Soran, Okinawan Eisa, street performances, and a precision drill by students from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force High Technical School.

The Yokosuka Morning Market brings fresh agricultural and seafood products, specialty foods, and miscellaneous goods to the outdoor event area at YOKOSUKA PORT MARKET.
A complimentary serving of Kyushu Pancake is also planned for the first 250 visitors on each day. Numbered tickets will be distributed from 8:40 a.m., with servings beginning at 9:00 a.m.
After visiting the market, travelers can continue toward nearby waterfront attractions, Mikasa Park, or the Yokosuka Chuo area.
