The official Ingress event is returning to Yokosuka for the first time in nearly a decade!
On February 15–16, 2025, agents from around the world will gather in Yokosuka for “Ingress +α Yokosuka Anomaly”—a thrilling two-day event packed with strategy, exploration, and competition.

The official event of the location-based mobile game “Ingress” returns to Yokosuka for the first time in nearly 10 years!

Event Overview

🟢🔵 (1) XM Anomaly “+Alpha Yokosuka”
📅 Date: Saturday, February 15, 2025
Compete in a large-scale battle for territorial control across Yokosuka as two factions clash in this immersive citywide event.

📍 (2) Mission Day Yokosuka
📅 Date: Sunday, February 16, 2025
Explore designated portals throughout the city, complete missions, and earn a special in-game medal exclusive to this event.

To All Agents

On event days, local businesses, shops, and hotels will display “Welcome Boards” to greet participating agents. Be sure to visit these supporting locations!
Additionally, the Yokosuka Chuo Y Deck will feature a special event banner, and other city decorations will enhance the atmosphere.

What is Ingress?

Developed and operated by Niantic, Inc., Ingress is a globally popular AR-based location game with over 15 million downloads.
Players are divided into two factions, Enlightened (Green) and Resistance (Blue), competing to capture and link real-world locations called “Portals” to gain control over territory.
Ingress is also recognized as a powerful tool for tourism promotion, with local discovery events held in various regions across Japan, including Iwate, Ehime, Fukuoka, and Hokkaido.
