Tokaichiba and the Natsugari Springs

These springs were designated for being one of Japan’s best water sources (One Hundred Famous Waters of Heisei).
The water here is filtered over the span of years, after melting as snow on Mt. Fuji.
The water is used not only for daily life but also for growing Mizukakegana (a specialty of Tsuru City) and Wasabi (Japanese horseradish).
