Kiyosu Bridge

Kiyosu Bridge was planned to be built as a part of disaster recovery efforts after the Great Kanto Earthquake.
It has been designated as an important cultural heritage by Japan.
The bridge was modeled after a suspension bridge in Cologne, Germany.
While the Eitai Bridge has a dignified and impressive appearance, Kiyosu Bridge has a more graceful form.
The name Kiyosu came from how the bridge connected Nihombashi-Nakasu and Fukagawa-Kiyosumicho, which were on the two opposing banks at the time of construction.
