Ukigai Castle Ruins
Ukigai Castle was built west of the Sakai River in the late 15th century and was often the site of battles between the forces of Mikawa and Owari.
After Yoshimoto Imagawa was killed in the Battle of Okehazama in 1560 (Eiroku 3), Ieyasu formed an alliance with Oda, and Ukigai Castle was abandoned after its role as a border guard ended.
