Shinkyo Bridge

he beautiful Shinkyo Bridge glows in red lacquer, suitable to decorate the front entrance to the sacred location of Nikko, was formerly known as the "Snake Bridge of Sedge" and has been designated as one of Japan's Important Cultural Properties as part of the structures of Futarasan Shrine.
This is the only old bridge in Japan that is used in the mountain canyon and is one of the three oldest bridges in Japan (along with Kintai Bridge in Yamaguchi Prefecture and Saruhashi in Yamanashi Prefecture).
