Daizenin Temple

This is one of the leading power spots in Tokyo where you can make a tour of the Seven Deities of Good Fortune It is a temple of the Tendai sect that is said to have had a temple status in the present Hachioji city before 1573 (Tensho 1), and was moved to this area in 1899 (Meiji 32) at the request of the patrons and congregation around Higashimurayama.
Even now, it is called “Noguchi no O-Fudosama” in the area and is widely popular with many people.
In the precincts, there is a 7-meter-high artificial hill made of lava stone from Sacred Mt. Fuji, and the sight of Fudo Myoo, aka the God of Fire, and 36 children enshrined there is spectacular and famous as a power spot.
The Setsubun festival, held in February every year, is bustling with people, and a bean-scattering ceremony is held by wrestlers in the sumo stable.
