Shigisanshita Station Cable Car

This is a cable car that ran from Kintetsu Shigisanshita Station to Mount Shigi.
It was in operation for 60 years from 1922 (Taisho 11) to 1983 (Showa 58) and is now closed.
Its is the third oldest in the history of Japan and was used by many tourists to pay their respects to Mount Shigi.
The train carriage that completed its final trip was on display at Sango Kita Elementary School, but in March 2020 (Reiwa 2), the train was relocated to a new location in front of Kintetsu Shigisanshita Station.
It shines as a new monument of Sango Town.
