Chokyu-ji Temple

As a branch temple of the Todaiji Temple and Kaidan-in since ancient times, the temple compounds have 88 Jizo guardian statues placed by feudal lords and revered nobles.
Each statue has very calm expressions, and just staring at them will bring peace to your heart.
The principal statue, which is a wood-carved image of Buddha, is said to have been made in the Muromachi period, and you also wouldn't want to miss the other cultural properties like the "Year 1599 Jizo stone statue" and the "Year 1646 25th Buddha stone statue" while you're here.
