Ichikawa Church

The Ichikawa Church is a protestant church that belongs to The United Church of Christ in Japan.
It was established in 1888, and the church does missionary work in the Ichikawa daimon area.
There is a single room inside with a semicircular altar at the front with an altar stone.
Its features include the clipped gable roof and the gabled design of the gable wall at the entrance.
The unique exterior appearance finished using mortar especially stands out even in the historic townscape.
The building was certified in 1997 as cultural property and is still used every Sunday to hold a mass.
