Mogamigawa Kyouryou

The first Kisogawa Bridge on the Tokaido Line of the former Japanese National Railway, which was constructed in 1887, was relocated in 1923 to its current location on the Mogami River.
Built in a double Warren truss formation, it is the oldest active railroad bridge in Japan. In 2008, it was registered as a Civil Engineering Heritage Site.
The Mogami Kyouryou River Bridge can be enjoyed as a view spot and has been selected as one of the Mogami River View Spots in Yamagata Keikan Monogatari (Yamagata Landscape Story).
