Otori Jinja Shrine
The Otori jinja shrine is located on Meguro street, on the corner of Yamate street, west of Meguro station.
It was founded in 806, during the Heian period (794-1185), and is the oldest shrine in the ward.
The main deity is Yamatotakeru-no-mikoto, and Kuninotokotachi-no-mikoto and Ototachibana-hime no-mikoto are also enshrined.
Every year in November, the shrine holds the Rooster Market, which attracts many worshippers.
