Minoh Local History Museum

The entrance to the museum has a water mill by the side and the lobby features a timeline made with glass art depicting the history from the Jomon Period to the present.

Permanent exhibits include an archeology corner, a hands-on learning corner, a Saigoku Kaidō corner, and a Minoh corner, each displaying various historic exhibits to match the themes.

The Museum allows you to find out more about the history of Minoh, including an introduction to Kaiun Mishima, who was born in Minoh and created "Calpis", Japan's first beverage made with lactic acid fermentation.

The "Minoh Town" information center on the same floor allows you to learn more about topics from the Meiji period to the time Minoh became a city.

The museum also features limited-time exhibitions, so visiting the museum again and again will never get dull.
