Daijungu Shrine

It is said to have been founded in 708 (first year of Wado).
In olden times it was called Muramatsu Gosho Daimyojin.
In the Edo Period, Mitsukuni Mito built the shrine, and called it Daijungu after returning a spirit from Ise Jungu.
It is known as the Ise-san of Ibaraki because it is similar to the inner part of Ise Jingu.
