Yono: Birthplace of Justa, Ukon Takayama's Wife

The birthplace of the daughter (baptismal name: Justa) of Lord Kuroda, lord of Yono Castle, lies at the foot of Mt. Shiroyama overlooking the old Settan-kaido Road.
A stone monument marking the birthplace of Mrs. Justa Takayama has been erected at a site where a well from that time period remains.
In May of 2015, 400 years after the death of Ukon Takayama, Justa was given the posthumous name "Shino."
The presence of Shino, who governed her husband's household in his absence, was introduced in "History of Japan" by Luis Frois.
In a letter from a Father Rodriguez it's revealed that in 1616 Shino, who had accompanied Ukon to Manila, had returned to Japan with her daughter and grandson and settled down.
What happened after that, however, is unknown.

There is also an exciting reenactment of the wedding between Ukon and Shino, featuring a bridal procession that includes female servants, military commanders, spearmen, and a priest.
