Hijikata Toshizo Museum

This is the site of the birthplace of Toshizo Hijikata, who was from Hino City and the vice commander of the Shinsengumi, and the museum is run by his descendant.
The museum displays about 70 items related to him, including his favorite sword “Izuminokami-Kanesada”, which he bore at all times, chain armor, and letters addressed to his family.
Besides, visitors can see a pillar with which he practiced Sumo when he was a child and an arrow bamboo planted by him in the hope of becoming a warrior.
