Murotozaki Lightouse

At the tip of Cape Muroto, sitting at a height of 151m, the lighthouse possesses the largest lens of any lighthouse in Japan with a diameter of 2.6m.
Since the year Meiji 62 (1899), it has been used to shine onto the water to provide safe passage for sailors.
The lighthouse's torch sits at 154.7m above sea level and boasts the longest light emission distance, reaching up to 26.5 nautical miles (49km).
Comprising one of Japan's "Top 50 Lighthouses", it's part of Japan's heritage of industrial modernization.
