Tamura Shuzojo

This sake brewery was established in 1822 at the end of the Edo period (1603-1868).
Historic buildings registered as cultural properties are scattered in the vast grounds extending along Tamagawa Josui Water Supply.
With its representative sake brand “KASEN,” Tamura Shozojo abides by its family precept “make carefully and sell carefully,” and brews sake in its own way to the extent that it can keep a good quality of sake, not aiming to increase the quantity of sake it produces.
It is possible to purchase goods at the neighboring office after looking at them at the gallery.
In 2016, it received a visit by the Emperor and Empress (currently, the retired Emperor and Empress).
Breweries and each spot can be seen only by a group of over ten people. Reservation is required.
