A total of 36,106 visitors came to the 2025 event over four days. The Men’s Elite BMX Freestyle Park final drew particular attention from spectators, with many people gathering around the competition area and creating an energetic atmosphere.

BMX Freestyle is not only about the difficulty and execution of individual tricks. Each rider’s style, run composition, and originality are also key points to watch. At Verny Park, the height of the jumps, the power of the spins, and the precision of the landings drew strong reactions from the crowd, allowing visitors to experience the tension and excitement of the competition up close.

Riders from Japan and Overseas Gathered in Yokosuka

The 2025 event featured 140 riders in BMX Freestyle Park, including five international athletes, and 84 riders in BMX Freestyle Flatland.

In BMX Freestyle Park, riders performed aerial tricks and linked combinations using ramps, competing on speed, run composition, and the completion of each trick through to landing. Every major trick raised the energy of the venue, creating the kind of excitement that only live BMX Freestyle competition can offer.

In BMX Freestyle Flatland, riders performed on a flat stage, combining balance, rotation, footwork, and linked tricks. Unlike Park, which features large jumps, Flatland is shaped by subtle shifts in body weight and the flow of movement. It is a discipline where each rider’s focus and technical skill stand out.
