What’s BMX ?
BMX stands for Bicycle Motocross — a sport that began when kids started mimicking motocross riders using bikes with 20-inch wheels.
That spirit of playful creativity still drives BMX today.
The Mynavi JapanCup will host two freestyle disciplines: BMX Freestyle Park and BMX Freestyle Flatland.
In both events, riders compete by performing tricks that demonstrate creativity, style, and control.
① BMX Freestyle Park

A signature Olympic discipline, BMX Freestyle Park takes place in a course filled with ramps, spines, and quarter pipes.
Riders launch into the air and execute a series of tricks with speed, height, and creativity — aiming to impress judges based on difficulty, execution, and originality.
Each rider performs two runs:
• 1 minute for Elite class
• 45 seconds for Challenge class
Elite Class Qualifiers: Saturday, July 19
Elite Class Finals: Sunday, July 20
② BMX Flatland

Flatland is performed on a flat surface — no ramps, no jumps.
Instead, riders balance on one wheel, spin, and link intricate movements in a seamless flow.
It’s a test of balance, originality, and artistic expression.
Each rider performs a single run:
• 3 minutes for Men
• 2.5 minutes for Women
• 1.5–2 minutes for Challenge class
Elite Class Qualifiers: Sunday, July 20
Elite Class Finals: Monday (Holiday), July 21
