About Mikasa Park
Mikasa Park is a representative park in Yokosuka, selected as one of “Japan’s Top 100 Urban Parks” and “Japan’s Top 100 Historic Parks”. The park is well-known for preserving the battleship Mikasa, which played a significant role in the Russo-Japanese War and is one of the world’s three major memorial ships. It also features a statue of Heihachiro Togo, a famous Japanese admiral.
The park was designed under the theme of “water, light, and sound” and is adorned with various attractions such as a dynamic wall fountain, dancing fountains that move to the rhythm of music, and an 18-meter-high monument. The park creates an artistic and historic atmosphere that captivates visitors. Additionally, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Tokyo Bay with ships passing by and Sarushima Island behind Mikasa, as well as experiencing the lush natural scenery.
