The ANA Windsurfing World Cup tournament in Yokosuka-Miura is the world’s premier windsurfing competition, officially recognised by the Professional Windsurfers Association (PWA).

The Windsurfing World Tour is held in about 10 locations every year, primarily in Europe.

| The only events held in Asia are in South Korea and Japan, where in 2017 it was held for  the first time in 24 years.

It is now scheduled to be held annually, although the 2020 and 2021 competitions were cancelled due to the coronavirus.

The world’s top professionals gather on the Tsukuihama beach to compete for the world’s number one title.

In this fourth edition of the event, the aim is to deliver a fast and exhilarating race allowing spectators to enjoy the sport first-hand.

| The Windsurfing World Cup will bring joy and excitement to spectators and the community.

We also aim to expand international recognition of the sport through the realisation of a sustainable competition that embraces diversity.

Communicate the appeal of windsurfing, uniting sky, sea and wind, bringing recognition of the sport.

Contribute to the revitalisation of the Miura Peninsula in cooperation with both the local people and related businesses to organise and deliver the tournament.
