Verny Park, the picturesque setting for the Mynavi JapanCup Yokosuka 2025, is a popular tourist destination welcoming approximately 1.5 million visitors annually. This unique park offers a view across the water to the former Yokosuka Iron Works, a significant site to which French engineer Léonce Verny contributed greatly.

The park itself is designed in the style of a French garden, boasting a vibrant display of beautiful roses, making it an ideal spot for a leisurely stroll. At Oguri-Hiroba (Oguri Square), you’ll find the busts of Tadanori Oguri, who contributed to Japan’s modernization, and Léonce Verny, standing side by side.

In the vicinity of the park, visitors can enjoy the “A Cruise of Yokosuka Naval Port” and explore “Dobuitadori Street,” known for its unique atmosphere and local gourmet delights, a street with a history linked to the US Navy Base.
