11:45 PM: Countdown Ceremony Begins

11:55 PM: Illumination of Naval Ships Turns Off

00:00 AM: Fireworks Display (Approximately 400 shots), Illumination of Naval Ships Resumes, Whistle, Searchlights

00:05 AM: End of Fireworks Display, Continuation of food truck stalls and live performances.

Countdown Cruise

After a 4 year hiatus, the “YOKOSUKA Military Port Countdown Cruise 2023→2024” is back! Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness the unique “New Year in the Military Port” up close, a spectacle that is uncommon nationwide.

Given its annual popularity, we recommend early applications. Join us in welcoming the New Year with a unique perspective and a cruise around the military port in Yokosuka.

Return: Around 00:15 AM (from Shioiri Pier)
Fireworks Display Time: 00:00 AM to 00:05 AM

Limited to 100 passengers

Boarding Fee

Adults: ¥6,000
Elementary School Students: ¥3,000
*One child under school age is free per adult. If the number of adults exceeds, elementary school student fees apply.
*Various discounts, including citizen discounts, are not applicable.

How to apply

Reservations accepted at “Miura COCOON.”
Membership registration with Miura COCOON is required, so we recommend completing it in advance.
If there are no remaining seats, waitlisting is not available.
Reservations cannot be made via phone, email, etc.
For those who wish to board with a wheelchair, assistance dog, etc. Contact us by phone (046-825-7144) after making a reservation.

Notes

This cruise operates on a first-come, first-served basis, with boarding in the order of arrival at Shioiri Pier, not by seat reservation.
On the day (12/31), Shioiri Terminal (ticket office) will be open from 9:00 to 19:00. Therefore, those boarding the Countdown Cruise should come directly to Shioiri Pier and present the digital ticket (please wait to activate it until just before boarding).
The Coaska Bay Side Stores operating hours are from 10:00 to 21:00. For details regarding parking, click here.
Due to expected congestion around Yokosuka on the day, we suggest to use public transportation.
Alcoholic beverages, including drinks, will be available for purchase on board.

Note: Other than handing out one drink, no beverage sales will be made on board. Bringing food and drinks on board is allowed.

In case of cancellation

In case the “YOKOSUKA Countdown 2024” is canceled, this cruise will also be canceled. In such cases, an email will be sent to the registered address, and information will be provided on this website.
No changes or cancellations are allowed after reservation. In case the cruise is canceled, the paid fee will be refunded (the timing may vary depending on the credit card company).
Credit card payment will be processed when you press the “Use Ticket” button.
Limited to online reservations from Miura COCOON. Reservations by phone, email, etc, are not accepted.
If you do not make it on time for the departure, you cannot board. Please note that no refund will be provided for not boarding for any reason.
