"GeGeGe no Kitaro" Anime Spots Course
In the animation "GeGeGe no Kitarō" (The 6th period), many scenes appear where the animation sets in various spots of Chofu city.In this course, you can walk around the city by comparing the actual spots with scenes that appeared in the animation.
The Chofu City Tourism Association published the Chofu City x “GeGeGe no Kitaro” (6th season) Anime Tourism Map (Vol. 1-5 and a compilation) for visitors to get to know the city of Chofu, "the birthplace of Mizuki's manga," through the anime and enjoy touring locations featured in it.

In the square, there are objects and playground equipment of Yokai (specter) and characters, including GeGeGe no Kitarō, that appears in the cartoon works of Shigeru Mizuki.
At this park, not only fans of the works of Shigeru Mizuki but also many other people in and around Chofu city can enjoy their time.
In the animation, the park appeared at the ending.

"GeGeGe no Kitarō" is frequently seen around Chofu Station.
It is a familiar character for many people in the city: the family of Kitarō painted on the body of buses running in the city, objects on Tenjin-dori shopping street, and Kitarō maintenance hole and so on.
As the setting of the animation, an area surrounding Chofu Station often appears.
