Sanbuichi Yusui Spring Water

This three-way (“sanbuichi” roughly means “one third (each)”) spring water system is believed to have been built to equally distribute irrigation water among three villages down the hill, to dissolve a dispute among farmers.
The Sanbuichi Yusui-kan is a museum introducing the mechanism of springs on the southern skirt of Mt. Yatsugatake, along with the water quality and history.
The soba restaurant Sanbuichi serves soba noodles made from local buckwheat flour. Visitors can also try out making soba noodles themselves here.
