The most popular local ramen in the country


Wakayama Ramen, known locally as "Chuka Soba", originated in street stalls along the tram lines running through Wakayama City from pre-war to the 1940s.
It is made from thin noodles and two types of broth: soy and pork bone soy sauces.
It is best enjoyed with Saba-nare (mackerel sushi) and a boiled egg.
